In addition to a successful junior, collegiate and professional career, Nick
is the co-founder of Eagle Fustar Tennis Academy, one of the premier
academies of the West Coast.
Founded in 2002, the Eagle Fustar Tennis Academy boasts a
multitude of programs ranging from Quickstart tennis all the way up to
an established Full Time Program. The Academy is home to multiple highly
ranked National and International junior players and has sent over 30
players off to college with a scholarship. Alongside business partner
Brian Eagle, Nick has been coaching and managing the Academy on all
levels of operation. The Eagle Fustar Tennis Academy was named the USTA
Northern California High Performance Center.
Nick Fustar graduated from Fresno State University where he was a 4 year letterman from 1998-2002. He was the #1 singles and doubles player at Fresno State in 2001 and was a ranked collegiate player in both singles and doubles throughout his college career. Nick helped his team win the WAC Championship in 1998 as well as reaching the team NCAA Sweet 16.
Nick is currently traveling with professional player Michael McClune. While working with McClune for the past 2.5 years, Nick has helped Michael win 6 professional Futures titles and reach a career high ranking of 290 on the ATP circuit. In the past, Nick has worked with several other professional players and he has served as the Men’s and Women’s assistant coach at Santa Clara University from 2005-2008.
