Rajeev Ram is a serious threat. Standing at 6 ft 4 with a huge serve and volley game he can beat anyone on the day. After a stellar year at the University of Illinois where he won the NCAA doubles and team championship Rajeev made a successful transition to pro doubles, winning 3 ATP titles, Bangkok, Newport and Chennai.
After tirelessly working his ranking up in singles from the Futures and Challenger circuit, Rajeev’s break through tournament finally came at NEWPORT, R.I. where he beat third-seeded Sam Querrey 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-3, in the 2009 Hall of Fame Tennis Championships to claim his first ATP title. This result propelled Rajeev to a career high of 78.
In 2013, he won his first main draw singles match at a Grand Slam when he won at the Australian Open.
